Aleksey founded A Kaplan CPA in 2016 to bring institutional-grade tax strategy and CFO-level advisory to operators who had outgrown traditional accounting firms but were not yet served by Big Four pricing.
A CPA licensed in both New York and Florida, and a graduate of Brooklyn College, he holds the triple distinction of Certified Tax Coach, Certified Tax Planner, and Certified Tax Strategist — designations held by a small minority of CPAs nationally.
Before founding the firm, he served as President and CFO of a Brooklyn title agency and as Executive Director and CFO of a multi-location childcare operation. That operator’s perspective shapes how he advises every client.
